Side Imaging On Fish Finders

Side imaging fish finders provides the angler and boater an expanded underwater view to both sides of the boat, rather than only underneath the boat like a common high-quality depth finder. The screens, imaging and even color imaging provides a crisp, sharp, accurate picture of the views off the sides of the fishing boat. The new side imaging fish finders have options to save information, store information, zoom in and gives the fishermen and boaters the possiblity to see a more clear picture in the waters. Side imaging fish finders do not have to replace high-quality fish finders. Instead they can operate in conjunction with traditional fish finders, providing a more complete picture of the landscape underneath the surface of the water.

Higher quality machines can use downward-looking sonar, have GPS mapping installed and show the images in bright color. Images can be saved and uploaded to a pc. Using an MMC/SD card will give you updates from the manufacturer's website and download them into your own system.
Do not use chemical cleaners on the lens of the finder; this can later cause cracking. Use a clean cloth dampened with fresh clean water to wipe away any saltwater dots. If the fishing boat remains in the water for a long period, clean the transducer with liquid detergent to avoid algae or marine growth. Do not leave the fish finder in the trunk of a car or a closed car; high temperatures may damage the electronic components of the advanced system.
