Two "Clearly" Different Sonar Views Available In Exclusively SwitchFire Sonar
New feature to Humminbirds 2010 fishfinder models are added, this provides anglers with two distinct sonar displays. Two modes in Exclusive SwitchFire provides anglers control of how they want to view the sonar images in specific fishing environments. An amazing detail is unveiled in Switchfire`s Max Mode that includes even the smallest subsurface objects, including suspended plankton, water current and thermoclines.

SwitchFire filters in clear mode through sonar returns and displays only structure and fish, providing the anglers with a clean, uncluttered screen. This mode operates especially well in shallow and rough water, or to reduce unwanted clutter in the water column. Chartography change offerings announced for Humminbird`s select fishfinder models for 2010. Humminbird Combo machines in the 700,900 and 1100 Series will be compatible with select Lakemaster ProMap HI-Definition Lakes cartography packages. The next generation Humminbird models will be available in six different packages. They include Minnesota,Michigan, Iowa/Illinois, Wisconsin, Dakotas and Woods/Rainy (Ontario,Canada).

Humminbird Will In Addition Offer Exclusive Features On Each LakeMAster ProMap Package
New Lake Level Offset gives anglers the possibility to adjust the depth contours and shorelines of the LakeMaster charts on their Humminbird machine to reflect the actual water levels of lakes, rivers and reservoirs. Depth number at the shoreline will also be changed. And the exclusive Highlight Depth feature provides the user to select and highlight a Depth Range for simplified targeting of productive water.
A free software download will be available at humminbird.com for consumers who already own a 700,900 or 1100 Series Combo, that will make their unit LakeMaster compatible. The LakeMAster-Humminbird Digital SD Cards will be preloaded with the actual ProMap Hi-Def cartography and retail for $108 each.

The often daunting task og managing huge numbers of saved GPS waypoints is being made easier on a new feature available on Humminbird`s 2010 models of 700, 900 and 1100 Series. The new Waypoint Management System feature provide anglers the possibility to easily organize and sort 100`s of waypoints that suits their preferences. "Our new Waypoint Management system simply give more options on how a user may want to organize key waypoints," Humminbird Product Manager said. " The choices on how to name and sort waypoints has until now been somewhat restrictive. This feature gives a lot more options to manage this highly important navigational and fishing information."

The waypoints, with this management system can be sorted alphabetically, by most recently saved or by nearest loction. The waypoints can be organized by different naming identifiers such as date, location, species and structure. Humminbird`s waypoint Management System has in addition added numerous, more intuitive icons to identify waypoints. Specific icons as walleye, bass, and trout, and structure oriented icons like weedbed and rockpile is now available. Easily changed in the new system can also actually waypoint name be done.
Current owners of a 700, 900 or 1100 series Combo will be able to download a free upgrade from humminbird.com that will update their machine to the new Waypoint Management System.
